Liability Insurance: pays other people when the policyholders injure them. Liability insurance pays for medical bills, lost wages, pain &
suffering, and property damage. Liability insurance will not pay the policyholders when other people injure the policyholders. (Required Insurance).
Policy Limits: are the maximum amounts an insurance company will pay for damages. For example, policy limits of 15/30/10, are $15,000 per
person, $30,000 per accident, and $10,000 for property damage. This means that the maximum amount one person can collect is $15,000, that
the maximum amount everyone can collect is $30,000.00, and that the maximum amount for all property damage is $10,000.
Comprehensive & Collision: pays the policyholders for damage done to their own vehicles, minus a deductible (if any). Comp/Collision is entitled
to be reimbursed by the Wrong Doer's insurance. (Optional Insurance).
Rental Reimbursement (Policyholder's): pays for a rental car when the policyholder's vehicle is in the shop or otherwise disabled. There is a
maximum amount to this coverage, usually between $500 to $1000 per accident. There is also a maximum amount per day, usually between
$20.00 to $30.00 per day. This coverage is entitled to be reimbursed by the Wrong Doer's insurance. (Optional Insurance).
Rental Reimbursement (Wrong Doer's): pays for a rental car when the policyholder's vehicle is in the shop or otherwise disabled. There is a
maximum time limit to this coverage, usually around thirty (30) days. There is also a maximum amount per day, usually between $20.00 to
$30.00 per day. (Required Insurance - part of the Wrong Doer's liability insurance).
Medical Payments (MedPay): pays the accident related medical bills of policyholders, their passengers, and any relatives that live with
them. MedPay follows these people, even when they travel in other people's vehicles. MedPay is not usually reimbursable, meaning it does not typically have to be
paid back. (Optional Insurance).
Uninsured Motorist (UM): pays the accident related medical bills, lost wages, and pain & suffering of policyholders, their passengers, and any
relatives that live with them, when the Wrong Doer does not have any insurance coverage. UM does not pay anyone when the policyholders are
the Wrong Doers. (Optional Insurance).
Under Insured Motorist (UIM): pays the accident related medical bills, lost wages, and pain & suffering of policyholders, their passengers, and
any relatives that live with them, when the Wrong Doer's Policy Limits are not high enough to cover all their damages. UIM does not pay anyone
when the policyholders are the Wrong Doers. (Optional Insurance).
Workers' Compensation: pays the accident related medical bills and lost wages of an employee injured on the job. Workers' Compensation is
entitled to be reimbursed by the Wrong Doer's insurance if the Wrong Doer does not work for the Employer.
Health Insurance & ERISA: pays the medical bills and prescriptions (if applicable) of the policyholders. Arizona law prevents health insurance
companies from being reimbursed unless they are ERISA plans. (Optional Insurance).
